Minot State University ตั้งอยู่ในเมือง Minot, รัฐ North Dakota ซึ่งรัฐทางตอนเหนือของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ติดกับประเทศแคนาดา มีประชากรกว่า 36,000 คน
มหาวิทยาลัยก่อตั้งขึ้นในปีค.ศ. 1913 ปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษาราว 3,400 คน ในจำนวนนี้มีนักศึกษาต่างชาติราว 300 คน
